While not of viking era,  the vegvisir,  or way finder, is an Icelandic stave rune, has become a powerful symbol.  The use of vegvisir ensures that you will never be lost,  even if your way is not known to you. It is engraved into this genuine,  cowhorn, drinking horn with a ornate,  brass rim. The vegvisir is framed with bands of traditional knotwork. The stand is twisted iron.
