WOW.....what a truck!
We're kind of different here at Valley Auto Sport and we really do get excited about our trucks!  This one is pretty special in our opinion and is so versatile and can be used for just about anything.  We don't think you'll easily find another one like it on the used market anywhere so you may want to check it out.  This awesome 2004 IH 7400 Truck has barely been used, comes with a Pre-emissions DT530 and is ready to flat out make you money.  Finding another one like it, will be virtually impossible.  If you've been looking for that rare and unique truck that's ready for just about anything, don't wait until the last minute to bid.  As usual,

Most dealers would list this truck with a hefty reserve, but not Valley Auto Sport.....we've got the best merchandise and no reserves.
Now for a few details.  We ran across this truck the other day and just had to have it.  It was owned from new by the Maryland Department of Transportation and stationed at the BWI Airport.  Clearly it was used to spray and spread ice melting products around the airport.  Clearly it didn't spend a ton of time running up and down the highways given the extremely low miles and hours.  Since it was built for a governmental owner, they spared no expense when came to the specifications.  To outfit and purchase one like this new would be incredibly expensive and cost prohibitive for most of us.  With only 6,000 original miles, this big truck was clearly not used much and is ready for so much more.  We thought it would be perfect for all you landscapers, road contractors, excavators, municipalities and many others too.  Power comes from a 300HP DT530 mated to an very heavy duty Allison 3500 RDSP Automatic Transmission with a PTO.  The truck has wonderful power and cruises comfortably on the highway at 80+ MPH.  In our opinion, the DT530 is easily one of the best engines ever made.  It has a long history of reliability and lots of power.  On the chassis is Swenson Stainless Steel Spreader with broadcast spinners on the back.  We have tested the operation and everything seems to operate like it should, but we are not experts and are selling it as-is.  The truck is also set up with a spray system for brine, but we have not explored or tested this part.  As far as we can tell this is a pretty complete set-up that is ready to make you money all year-around, although we have only done some basic operational checks.  However, we see no reason why they would require anything more than normal maintenance to be functional and ready to roll.  When we started adding up the cost of all these items, we came up with some pretty steep numbers.....this truck cost a fortune when new and is a very high-end build.  We can't stress enough how extremely rare it is to find a truck with miles this low and with this kind of high-end equipment.  The first owner has paid all of the initial depreciation hit, so you have the opportunity to make an incredible buy on an incredible truck.  This truck will likely be sold for thousands of dollars less than at your local commercial truck dealer, and I'll bet he doesn't have with anywhere near this kind of equipment or miles this low.  Keep in mind that it doesn't have to be used just to move snow and treat roads.  With the PTO and chassis, you could sell the spreader body and make this truck into whatever you need.
This is the right truck with the right specs and the incredibly low miles.  You'll have to search long and hard to find another one like it, so don't miss your chance.

Now for the condition report.  As you can tell from the pictures the truck was used to spray brine and treat roads.  We generally expect trucks like this to be quite rusty, but this one has seen very little use and isn't too bad.  We have not repainted or covered anything up, so you can see the true condition in the pictures below.  There is some peeling paint and surface rust on the frame and suspension and signs of corrosion elsewhere as well.  Again, nothing major, but we try to be as upfront as possible with what we see.  Otherwise, we think it is truly in exceptional condition inside and out and the powertrain is incredible.  The truck is being sold AS-IS  like we sell all of our trucks, but it is truly one of a kind in our opinion.  The inside of the cab is in good condition with no holes, tears or other big issues.  All of the interior features seem to function normally as far as we can tell.  It is sitting on size 11R-22.5 tires with about 80% tread life remaining up front and about 70% on the rears.
This is a very versatile truck that you simply won't find anywhere else.
Listen folks, you will have a hard time finding a higher quality used dump truck anywhere being sold for less than this.
Somebody is going to get a great deal on this truck!!

We require a 10% deposit within 3 days of the close of the auction and full payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction.  The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE - If you don't complete the sale, your deposit will not be returned.  We accept Certified/Cashiers Checks, Bank Checks or Wire Transfers unless other arrangements are made in advance.
We will be happy to provide transportation from the airport or train station in Harrisburg if you provide us with your schedule.
Buyer is responsible for shipping however we will gladly help with the logistics.
We charge a 0.00 fee to all buyers ( doc fee and 0 processing fee).  PA residents must pay 6% sales tax and state registration fees.  Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, and local taxes and fees that may apply in the state the vehicle will be registered, however we will provide a 30-day temporary tag with proof of insurance from your agent or insurance company.
Part of our qualification process is test driving our vehicles.  Therefore, this vehicle may have a few more miles than we list above.  We try to keep it within 100-200 miles of the number shown above.
