Hand Painted bell shaped, handled mug/stein. Brown body with a monogram J and glossy white interior. Serene sea side theme               on the upper 1/3 part of the mug. Earth tone sail boats, cottages, and windmill. Measures 5 1/2" H x 4 1/4" base diameter, 3 1/4"         opening, approx. 5" wide with handle. Capacity 20 fluid ounce. Green stamp J.P. l L. France on the bottom with an unidentified         character in black. This rare mug was likely imported from France as a blank (as were many whiteware pieces) & decorated in                   the U.S. Circa 1890-1932. Clean condition, damage free no chips , cracks or crazing.
